Vision 3D

Pixelyard has recently completed development of a new and exciting delivery platform for 3D-based learning and simulation programs. This advanced, web-based system can be implemented over the Internet, or through local networks in classrooms and training centres.

Practical Training/Testing

In the training/learning mode Vision 3D provides a collaborative environment in which instructors can present 3D models of equipment and machinery to students on their individual work stations – regardless of their physical location – and demonstrate how to disassemble components, conduct maintenance operations, and re-assemble the machine. Instructors can pass control of the model to an individual student, or all students can be given control over their own model to explore the equipment and procedures. Vision 3D enables organizations to extend the ‘virtual hands-one’ experience to a dynamic new training environment.

Equipment/Systems Simulation

Vision 3D can be applied to re-create realistic simulations of equipment and systems, such as complex control equipment. Each equipment rack or a control room can be modeled and integrated into Vision 3D to provide high fidelity equipment simulation. Each component is photo realistically modeled and programmed to work as they actual equipment does. Therefore the operator operates the simulated equipment from the equipment consoles/displays and Vision 3D integrates these components to provide lifelike simulations.

Vision 3D is scalable to provide very complex simulations. It also provides an external interface in which to connect to other support equipment not simulated by Vision 3D.

Benefits to using Vision3D

The cost benefit for using Vision 3D for these simulations is a dramatic reduction of capital costs to build operator/maintenance labs and simulations. Vision 3D can also be built to include snags for maintenance troubleshooting scenarios to assist in maintenance training.

Vision 3D can be easily reconfigured from one simulation to the next by simply selecting the desired simulation from the instructors consoles. Since the simulations of equipment are 3D models displayed on SmartBoards ™, workstations, plasma displays and PC’s the time to reload a new simulation is instantaneous. This feature allows for flexible classroom configurations where dedicated rooms are not required for each piece of equipment.
